Wess Roley was the 20-year-old man who was responsible for the wildfire and shooting that occured in Mt. Canfield, Northern Idaho on June 29th, 2025. The fires are believed to be lit deliberately, as to ambush firefighters and then shoot them. Roley fatally wounded two and critically injured one. By 7 pm, authorities found that Wess had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
